Girl group Nmixx’s first EP “expérgo” became the ninth-most sold girl group album in the first week of its release, announced agency JYP Entertainment on Wednesday.

“expérgo” sold over 630,000 copies in the first week of its release. Nmixx surpassed its previous records of 220,000 and 440,000 albums sold by its first single, “Ad Mare” (2022) and track “Entwurf” (2022) respectively, in the first week of their releases.

The lead track of “expérgo," “Love Me Like This,” also garnered popularity, landing at No. 1 on Billboard’s “Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter” chart on March 25 and on China’s QQ Music K-pop Weekly Chart on the week of March 17.

Nmixx described the track as “more easily approached by the general public,” during a showcase event on March 20. The girl group’s previous releases “O.O” (2022) and “Dice” (2022), both saw commercial success in terms of CD sales but received mixed reviews due to their unorthodox music structures and lyrics.

Nmixx debuted in February last year as a seven-member girl group with Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jinni, Jiwoo and Kyujin. The agency announced the departure of one member, Jinni, in December 2022 due to “personal reasons.”
