Girl group aespa will hold two performances at the Tokyo Dome on Aug. 5 and 6, in what will make it the fastest foreign act to hold a solo concert at Japan's largest concert venue.
The quartet debuted in November 2020.
The concert will be held as a part of the Japanese tour series "aespa LIVE TOUR 2023 'SYNK : HYPER LINE' in JAPAN" that kicked off with a concert in Osaka on March 15.
Having held four concerts at the Osaka-jo Hall in March and two concerts at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo, the girl group has sold all 110,000 tickets to 10 concerts including the four performances set to take place in Saitama and Nagoya.
The Tokyo Dome can seat up to 50,000 audience members at once, bringing aespa's concertgoers headcount to 210,000 if both performances sell out.
On Friday, aespa released "Hold on Tight" as a part of the soundtrack for the Apple Original film "Tetris" (2023). The band is set to release a new album next month.
