Daesung from Big Bang signs exclusive contract with agency R&D Company
Daesung from boy band Big Bang signed an exclusive contract with R&D Company, the agency announced Monday.
“We have signed an exclusive contract with Daesung, a member of Big Bang, who is loved by K-pop fans around the world,” the agency said in a statement.
“With D-Lable, the [in house] team dedicated to supporting Daesung, we promise unending support toward the artist.”
The agency also revealed that Daesung’s manager, who worked with Daesung for the last 10 years, has joined the agency with the artist.
Daesung debuted as a member of boy band Big Bang in 2006 under the agency YG Entertainment. The band saw global success with songs “Lies” (2007), “Haru Haru” (2008), “Tonight” (2011), “Fantastic Baby” (2012) and “Bang Bang Bang” (2015).
Daesung first came out with his solo release “Look at Me, Gwisoon” in 2008, a trot-themed song written and produced by fellow member G-Dragon. From 2013, Daesung focused on releasing albums in Japan, where he released “D’scover” (2013), “D’Slove” (2014), “Delight” (2014), “D-Day” (2017) and more.
