Teenage boy commits suicide after school attack

A middle school boy who attacked a female student at the same school has committed suicide.

Seoul Suseo Police Station said Monday that it received a report of a teenage boy stabbing a girl in the neck at a school in Dogok-dong, Gangnam, southern Seoul at 10 a.m.

The girl reportedly suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital.

The boy was found dead at an apartment complex 10 minutes away from the school.

Police say they have not yet found a suicide note.

The death of the assailant will bring the investigation into the initial attack to a close.
