Magnitude 3.5 earthquake detected in East Sea

A magnitude 3.5 earthquake was detected in the seas 50 kilometers northeast of Donghae in Gangwon at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA).
 
No damage has been reported so far.  
 
The KMA says there have been 17 microseismic events since a magnitude 1.7 quake occurred near the same spot at 1 a.m. on Sunday.
