President Yoon Suk Yeol returned to Seoul, ending his weeklong visit to the United States as a state guest, on Sunday.

President Yoon was greeted by his cabinet members, including Interior and Safety Vice Minister Han Chang-seob and People Power Party leader Kim Gi-hyeon, at the Seoul Airbase in Seongnam, Gyeonggi.

President Yoon did not give a special message upon arrival.

Yoon’s visit to the United States has received mixed reviews.

Some have been positive, such as those regarding several investment agreements from U.S. companies including the $2.5 billion promised by Netflix, his speech at capitol hill, and his singing of Don McLean’s “American Pie,” which trended online in a Tweet by Elon Musk.

Yoon was the first foreign president ever to visit the Pentagon’s National Military Command Center and the first Korean president to hold a lecture at Harvard.

However, Yoon’s so-called Washington Declaration has been questioned over the practical benefits for Korea and the unresolved issue regarding the Inflation Reduction Act, which continues to leave out Korean automakers from tax incentives on electric vehicles.

China and North Korea have continued to attack Yoon’s visit over the last couple of days.
