Korean Air unveiled Wednesday a special external design on one of its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in support of Busan's bid to host the World Expo 2030. The aircraft features an expo-themed design with the image of K-pop girl group Blackpink, whose world tour is officially sponsored by the airline. The specially-wrapped fleet will fly on various routes throughout the airline's global network, beginning with the Incheon-Paris flight on Thursday. The launch event was attended by several key figures, including, from third from left: Woo Kee-hong, president of Korean Air; Walter Cho, chairman and CEO of Korean Air; Han Duck-soo, prime minister of Korea; Chey Tae-won, co-chairman of the bidding committee for World Expo 2030 Busan; and Jang Sung-min, senior secretary to the president for future strategy.
