KakaoTalk hit by service outage

KakaoTalk was hit by a service outage with some users unable to log in, send or receive messages on Monday afternoon.
 
The outage began around 1:35 p.m and lasted for about 16 minutes. Affected users were unable to access either the PC or mobile version of the service. 
 
Messages sent by users appeared in the pop-up chat but not in the chatroom.
