NewJeans becomes fastest K-pop group to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify

NewJeans became the fastest K-pop group to surpass 1 billion streams on global music streaming service Spotify, earning a Guinness World Record, the girl group's agency ADOR said Tuesday.

The achievement came on March 8, 219 days after the band's official debut last year.

There are seven NewJeans' tracks on Spotify as of May: "Attention" (2022), "Hype boy" (2022), "Cookie" (2022), "Hurt" (2022), "Ditto" (2022), "OMG" (2023) and "Zero" (2023).

"OMG," "Ditto" and "Hype boy" have been streamed over 300 million times, "Attention" over 200 million times and "Cookie" 100 million times.
