Boy band Enhypen's latest album, "Dark Blood," landed No. 1 on Japan's Oricon's weekly album chart only three days after its release in Japan on Friday.

The album recorded 165,000 weekly sales in Japan, according to Oricon, just three days after its Japanese release on May 26, making it the band's sixth consecutive album to land No. 1 on the chart, its agency Belift Lab said Tuesday.

This puts Enhypen in joint second place with BTS in producing albums that land at No. 1 on the chart consecutively as a foreign artist. Boy band Tomorrow X Together currently holds the record with seven consecutive albums ranking No. 1 on Oricon's weekly albums chart.

The album sold 1.32 million copies in the first week of its release, making it the most-sold Enhypen album in its opening week. Over 1.1 million copies of "Dark Blood" were sold on the day of its release alone, giving Enhypen its third million-seller album just two and a half years after its debut.

Enhypen debuted in November 2020 under Belift Lab, a subsidiary of HYBE. The band was formed in September of the same year through cable network Mnet and HYBE's audition show "I-LAND" (2020).

The seven members of the band are: Sunoo, Jake, Jay, Heeseung, Sunghoon, Jungwon and Ni-ki. The band's most popular tracks include "Drunk-Dazed," "Fever" from EP "Border: Carnival" (2021), "Given-Taken" from EP "Border: Day One" (2020) and "Polaroid Love" from repackaged full-length album "Dimension: Answer" (2022).
