The police raided the residence of a reporter for allegedly leaking Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon's personal information.

Seoul Metropolitan Policy Agency's anti-corruption unit raided the house of an MBC reporter Tuesday morning.

The reporter is accused of leaking Han's personal information. Police also raided the National Assembly Secretariat in Yeouido, western Seoul, and are reportedly planning to raid MBC headquarters in Mapo District, western Seoul.

Kim Min-seok, an independent councilor at the Gangseo District Council, sued the reporter alleging the reporter violated the Personal Information Protection Act by leaking Han and his family's information.

Police suspect Han's information, submitted to the National Assembly during his confirmation hearings as the justice minister nominee, was leaked by the MBC reporter.

Investigators confiscated the reporter's cellphone and materials related to the minister's personal information.
