Korea reported 24,411 new Covid-19 cases Wednesday, up some 1,500 from the same day the previous week due to a holiday Monday, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
 
The number of critically ill patients stood at 169, and 17 deaths were reported.
 
The cumulative number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Korea is 31,703,511.
