Taeyeon, now a veteran solo artist, held her fifth solo concert at the KSPO Dome in southern Seoul on Sunday. It was the second and the last day of her concert but the Girls' Generation member has once again proven that she alone can still hold a sell-out concert.

Though she made small mistakes, missing a beat to make a grand entrance for the concert titled "The ODD of LOVE," it didn't really seem to matter that much to her hardcore fans who know her vocal ability.

“I was planning to tear the stage up with my cool opening, but because it’s so dry here, I almost choked on water [that I was drinking]. Even someone who’s done this for 16 years can’t do much about it,” she confessed.

“Last year, Girls Generation’s Fanmeeting filled up the Gymnasium Stadium [currently KSPO Dome], and this year, I’m filling [the stadium] all alone. It’s all thanks to you guys,” said Taeyeon, after she sang six tracks from her latest release “INVU” (2022), including the lead track of the same name.

Taeyeon continued the concert with power and finesse, sometimes singing with a band playing in the background and at other times, hitting high notes all alone. Her concert setlist included 24 tracks, with all 13 tracks from her third full-length album “INVU,” followed by her hits like “Weekend” (2021), “Stress” (2016), “Four Seasons” (2019), “I” (2015), “Spark” (2019) and more.

“Through the three years that I wasn’t able to hold any concerts due to the pandemic, my EP and my third full-length album came out [...] and I wanted to let you guys listen to my new releases,” the singer said.

Girls Generation members and many other SM artists were at the concert in support.

“This concert will fly by [...] I’ll make the concert a memorable experience for you all,” said Taeyeon.

The two-and-a-half-hour concert ended with no guest performances, minimal talk and full of Taeyeon’s vocals, leaving a big impression on many.

“Even when I’ve been to most of Taeyeon’s concerts in the past, I still had high hopes for Taeyeon’s concert, and I was reassured by the fact that she is ‘Taeyeon who you can trust to listen to,'” said Kim Hyun-ho, a long time fan of the singer who attended both days of the concert. The only downside of the concert, he said, is that he wished she had sung her whole discography.

“I really hoped to listen to ‘Drawing Our Moments,’ ‘Fire’ and ‘Time Lapse’ and I’m so glad to have listened to them all [...] I know she released a lot of songs, but I honestly want her to sing everything,” he said.

With the two Seoul concerts completed, Taeyeon will be heading to Hong Kong on June 10, followed by performances in Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.

“I will first continue the tour in the regions we’ve announced so far, and there are more stops that will be added in the future. Please look forward to it!” Taeyeon said.
