JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, right, shakes hands with President Yoon Suk Yeol during the Davos forum on Jan. 19. [PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE]

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon reportedly met with heads of Korea's sovereign wealth fund and other major financial institutions on Monday to discuss investment opportunities and macroeconomic issues.

No further details of Dimon's meeting with Jin Seoung-ho, CEO of Korea Investment Corporation and executives of other financial institutions, were immediately available.

Dimon arrived in Seoul on Monday, for the first time in five years, after traveling to China, Taiwan and Japan over the past week.

Those familiar with the matter said Dimon might meet Bank of Korea Governor Rhee Chang-yong and other government officials, but it remains unclear whether he could meet with President Yoon Suk Yeol or Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Lee Jae-yong during his stay.
