Cast unveiled for upcoming political crime film

Kang Ha-neul, Yoo Hae-jin and Park Hae-joon will star in the upcoming political crime film “Ya-dang: The Triangular Connection,” distributor Plus M Entertainment announced Wednesday.
“Ya-dang: The Triangular Connection” is about a mole in a drug ring who reports the secrets of the underground world to the government and law enforcement. The mole is named Lee Gang-soo, otherwise known as Ya-dang, and will be played by Kang. Yoo will play Koo Kwan-hee, a prosecutor, and Park will play a narcotics unit police officer.
Director Hwang Byeong-guk, who directed a number of films including “Wedding Campaign” (2005), “The Unjust” (2010) and “S.I.U.” (2011) will direct “Ya-dang: The Triangular Connection.” Filming will begin in the second half of this year, according to Plus M Entertainment.
Kang debuted through 2007 KBS drama series “My Mom! Super Mom!” and has since starred in dramas and films such as “The Heirs” (2013), “Misaeng: Incomplete Life” (2014) and “When the Camellia Blooms” (2019).
Yoo started his acting career in 1997 with small roles before establishing himself as a character actor, appearing in films such as “King and the Clown” (2005), “Moss” (2010), “The Pirates” (2014) and “Veteran” (2015).
Park started as a theater actor before appearing in television series and films, making a breakthrough with “The World of the Married” (2020).
