“Exist” is the boy band’s seventh full-length album which dropped last Monday and has sold over 1.56 million copies in the first week of its release, marking the 11-year-old boy band's seventh million-selling album and its best record.
Pre-orders for "Exist" also hit 1.60 million copies, the highest ever for the boy band, even before its release.
EXOs’ first million-selling album was its first full-length album, “XOXO (Kiss & Hug),” released in 2013.
The album also landed atop on iTunes Top Albums chart in 70 different regions on the day of its release on Monday, including in Japan, France, Germany, Singapore and more.
"Exist" will likely be member Sehun's last album before starting his mandatory military service this year. Member Kai, who began his social service in May, participated in the album production but did not participate in album promotions.
The eight members of EXO include Xiumin, Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O, Kai and Sehun. While Rei did not leave the band, he did not participate in most of EXO's albums and group activities since 2017 and left SM Entertainment in April 2022.
