Rapper Microdot, who previously stopped activities after a controversy surrounding his parents’ default, released new music Thursday.

Microdot released two songs, “Sensation” and “Mask On,” at 6 p.m. Thursday. He wrote on his social media accounts, saying, “It has been a long time since I came to you with music. Please look forward to more new things from me.” The rapper also released a teaser for the music video to “Sensation” on his YouTube channel.

Microdot, real name Shin Jae-ho, debuted as a member of the duo All Black with Dok2 in 2006. He has appeared on rapping shows such as “Show Me the Money” (2012–2022) and “Unpretty Rapstar” (2015–2016). He gained popularity among the general audience for appearing on reality television shows like “The Fishermen and the City” (2017–2018) and “I Live Alone” (2013–).

Microdot halted all activities after it was revealed in 2018 that his parents had borrowed money from neighbors 20 years ago and had not paid them back, having fled to New Zealand.

Microdot initially denied all accusations and said he would take legal action against those who claimed that his parents were in debt, but as more details were disclosed, he opted out of all television appearances.

Microdot’s parents returned to Korea in April 2019, and each served a year and three years in prison for fraud.

Microdot has previously attempted a comeback with the album “Prayer” in 2020.
