A novel idea to protect Lee
Lawmakers loyal to Democratic Party (DP) leader Lee Jae-myung have come up with a novel idea to protect Lee from the prosecution’s plan to request an arrest warrant for him. They proposed that DP members should not vote on a motion to arrest him in the legislature. If the majority party does not participate in the vote, the prosecution cannot arrest him for further questioning. [PARK YONG-SEOK]
