JW Marriott Hotel Seoul
Through Nov. 30: The Lounge at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul greets autumn with a newly reimagined afternoon tea set. Located on the hotel’s eighth floor, The Lounge features a pink-toned interior that perfectly complements the new autumn shapes and colors evoked by this season’s afternoon tea menu. The Fall in Love afternoon tea set is available from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30.
This season’s tea set combines simple savory items infused with autumn flavors and a selection of five desserts. The savory menu includes doubled eggs topped with rolls of prosciutto evoking the forms of autumn leaves, and pumpkin lasagna bites, featuring sweet seasonal pumpkin and topped with dried basil. Crab canapés are served on honeycomb-shaped tuiles, evoking autumn’s abundant honey, while walnut doughnuts are old-fashioned miniature doughnuts topped with maple and carrot mousse and nuts.
The quintet of autumn-inspired desserts includes chestnut cream rolls, a blend of creamy chestnut and chocolate aromas; Australian-style fig pavlovas, meringue desserts balancing notes of fig and vanilla; red jade apple panna cotta, crafted from yogurt and fresh seasonal red jade apples and topped with macarons; soft, sweet purple sweet potato mont blancs filled with mascarpone cream cheese; and caramel hazelnut madeleines, baked to an irresistible shade of autumnal golden brown.
The seasonal selection of desserts and savory items is accompanied by a choice of premium teas, coffees and champagnes, including nine teas by the organic handmade U.S. brand Rishi, Homage Coffee, custom-blended exclusively for JW Marriott Hotel Seoul by America’s Trinidad coffee, and traditional Korean tea varieties.
