BTS V's first solo album "Layover" landed No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart upon its release, a tied record with band members Jimin and Suga as the highest score on the chart achieved by a K-pop solo artist.

"Slow Dancing," the lead track of "Layover," debuted at No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, according to the U.S-based music chart service Tuesday.

Billboard 200 chart for the week of Sept. 24, released Tuesday, showed "Layover" in the second place on its main chart, with the album selling more than 100,000 equivalent sales in the first week of its release in the United States, with 88,000 physical album sales, according to Billboard.

It makes V's first time to rank on Billboard's main chart as a solo artist and his third time on the Billboard Hot 100, following "Christmas Tree," a soundtrack for the 2021 drama "Our Beloved Summer" and "Love Me Again," the prereleased track of "Layover."

"Layover" also landed No. 2 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart and Top Current Albums chart, with "Slow Dancing" ranking No. 2 on the Digital Song Sales chart, No. 3 on the Global Excl. US chart and No. 4 on Global 200.

V released his first solo album "Layover" on Sept. 8, making V the last member of BTS to release a solo album. The album broke records from the first day of its release, selling 1.67 million copies on the release day and 2.1 million copies in the first week — the highest ever for a solo K-pop artist.
