Korea’s Lee Da-bin took silver in the women’s taekwondo +67 kilograms division, losing to China’s Zhou Zeqi 2-1 in the final round on Thursday.
 
Lee, 26, entered this year’s Asiad as the defending champion in the women’s +67 kilograms contest but failed to keep her title.

In the final, Lee won the first round 9-8 but lost the next two 9-2 and 21-8, respectively.
 
Lee’s second-place finish closed out Korea’s schedule in the sport at this year’s Asian Games. Korea ended the taekwondo tournament with five gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
 
Lee advanced to the final round after defeating Kazakhstan’s Cansel Deniz 2-1. Lee handily won the first round 13-2 but ended the second round in a draw, 13-13, with opponent Deniz winning the tie-breaker. Lee then came back in the third round, handily winning 16-3 and a spot in the final.
 
Alongside teammates Seo Geon-woo, Kim Jan-di and Park Woo-hyeok, Lee earlier won Korea a silver medal in the mixed gender team contest, coming behind China in the final round.
 
With five gold medals from taekwondo, Korea met its five-gold finish at the 2018 Games in Jakarta, Indonesia, where it won twelve medals total, the most in the sport overall.
