"This song was composed to pay tribute to two of my friends who died last year during the Russian-Ukraine war and to my uncle, who died in illness," Lindemann said in a press release.

"When I see their last moments captured in videos or photos, they were always smiling," he added.

"Thinking of them, I wrote this song with the hope that the war will end as soon as possible and there will be no more victims."

Lindemann's new song comes eight months after his single "Painting with Flowers" in March this year.

Lindemann has been actively continuing his career as a jazz pianist with a variety of tracks since the release of his debut album "Esperance" in 2017, including "Serenade" (2019), "Story" (2020), "Keys to Summer" (2020) and "And She Said Excuse Me" (2022).

Lindemann will be holding a concert titled "Midday Concert III - Daniel Lindemann Quartet Concert" at Daegu Eoul Arts Center on Wednesday.

Lindemann is recognized for his appearance in "Non Summit" (2014-17), a JTBC talk show featuring non-Korean men's debate on various topics.

He was cast as a German representative on the show from 2014 to 2016.
