Singer Hyeri and actor Ryu Jun-yeol broke off their seven-year relationship, according to reports Monday.

News1 reported on Monday afternoon that the couple recently broke up after becoming acquainted while filming the TV drama series "Reply 1988" (2015–16) as the lead characters.

The two admitted they were in love in August 2017 and had been one of the few out-in-the-open love birds in the Korean entertainment scene.

Hyeri debuted as the youngest member of K-pop girl group Girl's Day in October 2010. She belatedly joined the group with member Yura three months after Girl's Day had debuted in July 2010 with EP "Girl's Day Party #1" and lead track "Tilt My Head."

She finished shooting for her next film "Victory."

Ryu started his career in 2014 with roles in smaller works such as indie films and a music video but made a major breakthrough in tvN's hit drama series "Reply 1988" in 2015. Since then, he has appeared in hit films such as "The Silenced" (2015), "The King" (2017), "A Taxi Driver" (2017), "The Battle: Roar to Victory" (2019) and more.

His next film, the second part of "Alienoid" (2022), will hit theaters in January next year.
