“Lobby,” actor Ha Jung-woo’s third film as director, wrapped filming on Dec. 27 of last year, film investor Michigan Venture Capital announced Tuesday.

Ha, himself, plays the lead role of a researcher tasked with lobbying the government for a road construction project. The ensemble includes actors Kim Eui-sung, Park Byung-eun, Park Hae-soo, Lee Dong-hwi and Choi Si-won.

“Lobby” is Ha’s third project as director after “Fasten Your Seatbelt” (2013) and “Chronicle of a Blood Merchant” (2015).

Actor Bae Seong-woo originally appeared in the cast lineup for “Lobby” but was ultimately left out of the project. Bae was found guilty of drunk driving and had his license revoked in 2021.

“I am so grateful for being able to make this film while the Korean film industry is going through tough times,” Ha said in a news release. “We have so many lines of dialogue in ‘Lobby’ and it was important to have the actors synchronize before filming, so we had 10 rounds of table readings since May last year. I will put my all into the postproduction and hopefully be able to present an entertaining film to audiences.”

Ha debuted as an actor in the 2002 SBS sitcom “Honest Living” and rose to prominence after his breakout role as a psychopath serial killer in the 2008 film “The Chaser.” His films, including “The Yellow Sea” (2010), “Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time” (2012), “Love Fiction” (2012), “The Berlin File” (2013), “The Terror Live” (2013) and “Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds” (2017) span numerous genres and have seen box office success.
