The Gyeonggi office of the National Election Commission demonstrates the manual vote counting process at its Suwon office on Monday. The election commission last month announced its plan to replace electronic vote counting with manual counting for the upcoming general election in April. Additionally, a 24-hour surveillance camera will be installed at the facility that will store early votes. The decision to revert to manual vote counting stems from concerns raised by the National Intelligence Service, which identified vulnerabilities in the electronic vote counting system. [YONHAP]
