Despite former Justice Minister Cho Kuk’s promise to bring fresh and talented people to the party that he created to punish President Yoon Suk Yeol in the April 10 parliamentary elections, such figures cannot be seen — just Cho, who was sentenced to two years in jail for bribery and power abuse, and Rep. Hwang Un-ha, who was sentenced to three years in prison for meddling in an election. Both Cho and Hwang have been nominated as the party’s candidates for proportional seats. [PARK YONG-SEOK]
