Average monthly rent in Seoul drops below 1 million won in Q1

Advertisement at one real estate agency in Seoul on Monday shows rental prices for residential and commercial spaces. Average monthly rent for apartments in Korea dropped below the 1 million won ($736) mark coming into this year, according to statistics from Korea's Land Ministry. The figure hit 990,000 won in the first quarter of this year based on real transactions, a 10.8 percent drop from the previous quarter when the average monthly rent came to 1.1 million won. [YONHAP]
