Pusan National University appoints Choi Jae-weon as 22nd president

Choi Jae-won, the 22nd president of Pusan National University [PUSAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY]
Pusan National University announced Friday it appointed Choi Jae-weon as its 22nd president.
Choi's four-year term officially began on Friday.
He vowed to enhance Pusan National University's partnerships with the local government and local industries via press release, also promising to innovate the university's education and research.
President Choi earned his bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. in control engineering at Seoul National University. He has been working as a professor at Pusan National University since 1996, and has served as the dean of the university's College of Engineering between 2022 and 2023.
