Hana Financial Group celebrated Korea’s Family Month of May with a concert dedicated to the parents of employees.

The concert, held on Tuesday at the Olympic Park in Songpa District, southern Seoul, featured singer Jang Sa-ik, as well as performances by musicians across various genres including traditional Korean music and jazz.

Previously a smaller corporate family day event among Hana Financial Group’s subsidiaries, the parent company scaled the event up to a group-wide celebration this year. Hana also set up a variety of experience zones and side events for the occasion, including a photo zone and food carts.

“Hana Financial Group could come this far thanks to parents who committed and sacrificed their lives for the sake of their children,” said Hana Financial Group Chairman Ham Young-joo, expressing his gratitude to the firm’s employees and their parents during the event.

A Hana employee at the concert who brought his father to the concert said “I am grateful that the company prepared performances that my father could enjoy since I had few opportunities to properly express my gratitude and respect to him before.”
