Samsung Biologics to showcase CDMO capabilities at BIO USA

Samsung Biologics will showcase its contract drug-manufacturing and development capabilities at the upcoming BIO International Convention 2024 (BIO USA), the world’s largest biotechnology and pharmaceutical trade show, the company said Monday.
It will mark the 12th year in a row that the Incheon-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) takes part in the annual event. This year’s BIO USA, which will run from June 3 to 6 in San Diego, is expected to be attended by 20,000 visitors and over 1,500 companies.
Samsung Biologics’ booth will measure 139 square meters (1,496 square feet), featuring the company’s CDMO capabilities, including its world-leading manufacturing capacity, which will reach 784,000 liters (828,000 quarts) upon the completion of its fifth plant next year. Samsung plans to secure a production capacity of 1.32 million liters by 2032.
Contract development will be another major focus for Samsung Biologics this year, as the company is boosting its marketing efforts with a new slogan of “Agile. Flexible. Focused on You.”
Samsung is sponsoring the event with a digital advertising campaign and over 140 promotional banners at the venue as well as along Harbor Drive leading up to the convention center from San Diego International Airport.
