G-Dragon will visit KAIST to participate in a panel discussion during next month’s Innovate Korea 2024 forum, following his agency signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the university.

KAIST announced on Tuesday that it signed an MOU with Galaxy Corporation, a metaverse developer, and singer G-Dragon's agency.

The two entities held an MOU signing ceremony on Monday, agreeing to collaborate on finding ways to apply various technologies to the K-pop industry.

They will also establish the Galaxy Corporation-KAIST R&D Center to conduct research on AI and other future technologies.

"We will venture into the music-tech field by using AI technology in fandom platforms and also collaborate on research to expand into global markets, such as preparing for the first AI metaverse concert to be held at the Sphere in Las Vegas," said Choi Yong-ho, chief happiness officer (CHO) of Galaxy Corporation. "We will strive to help Korean content and culture grow globally by integrating it with technologies such as AI, metaverse and virtual reality."

Following the MOU signing, the university also announced that G-Dragon will attend the Innovate Korea 2024 forum on June 5.

The forum is jointly hosted by Herald Corporation, KAIST and the National Research Council of Science and Technology and will take place at KAIST's campus in Yuseong District, Daejeon.

G-Dragon will be participating in a panel discussion with KAIST President Lee Kwang-hyung and Galaxy Corporation CHO Choi Yong-Ho.
