Samsung Electronics' largest labor union, the National Samsung Electronics Union (NSEU), will go on strike after management and the union failed to reach an agreement over the level of salary hikes.
The unionized workers announced their intent to strike in a press conference on Wednesday. This marks the first time Samsung Electronics workers have staged a walkout since the company's founding in 1969.
