Household loans rise for second straight month

Household loans extended by five major banks in Korea rose for the second consecutive month in May due to a rise in mortgage and credit loans.
 
Bank’s outstanding household loans came to 702.7 trillion won ($508 billion) as of the end of May, up 4.7 trillion won from a month earlier, according to the data from the Bank of Korea.
