BTS's agency asks fans to not visit Jin's military base

BigHit Music asked fans not to visit BTS member Jin's military base when he is discharged on Wednesday "for the sake of other soldiers and the safety of everyone at the scene."

"The discharge day is attended by many other soldiers," Jin's agency BigHit Music said in a notice posted on fan community service Weverse.

"There will be no ceremony held on the day that he is discharged. We ask very sincerely that you do not visit the site to prevent any safety hazards due to congestion."

Local news outlet Dispatch reported Monday that the seven BTS members will gather on Wednesday to celebrate the end of Jin’s mandatory military service.

The six other members, who are also serving their military duties, applied for a formal leave of absence for Jin, according to the Dispatch report.

BigHit Music, the band's agency, did not confirm the report.

Jin enlisted in December 2022 and served in the military for 18 months. On Wednesday, he will be back as a civilian.

Jin will resume his schedules as a BTS member with a fan hug event slated for Thursday at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa District, southern Seoul, as part of the band’s annual “Festa” celebration.

The singer is reported to be in preparation for a solo album for the latter half of this year.

J-Hope is the next member in line to be discharged from the military in October. All seven members will have completed their military services by June 2025.
