Despite the urgent need to pass a pile of livelihood bills to help ordinary citizens survive their financial difficulties, lawmakers are engrossed in waging political battles against one another. And yet, they receive at least 9.92 million won ($7,175) as their monthly salary, as suggested by Rep. Lee Jun-seok, an opposition lawmaker, in a recent television program. [PARK YONG-SEOK]
