The Netherlands' Sifan Hassan won the women's marathon with a time of 2:22.55 for a new Olympic record, reigning world champion Seong Seung-min of Korea took bronze in the women's individual modern pentathlon as Hungary's Michelle Gulyas came from behind to edge out France for gold and the United States beat France for women's basketball gold, matching the men's tournament, as the competition wrapped up on the final day of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
