Global audition program “Universe League,” jointly produced by SBS and F&F Entertainment, unveiled its MC and team leaders on Tuesday.
The program’s official social media channels unveiled posters and trailer videos featuring MC Jay Park and the team leaders: BTOB’s Lee Chang-sub, GOT7’s Yugyeom, producer El Capitxn and WayV's Ten and Yangyang. These K-pop stars will lead their own team of trainees.
"Universe League" will feature a total of 42 contestants competing for a spot in a global boy group. The show is the sequel to "Universe Ticket" (2023-4), which created the girl group UNIS. Unlike its predecessor, "Universe League" will crown a team as the winner.
BTOB’s vocalist Lee Chang-sub will lead "Team Groove."
"Known for his strong vocal skills, Lee will bring his experience as a performer and his expertise in training," F&F Entertainment said in a press release.
Yugyeom will lead "Team Beat." He previously won the dance competition show “Hit the Stage” in 2016. K-pop producer El Capitxn will join Yugyeom as the team’s producer.
WayV members Ten and Yangyang will serve as leaders for "Team Rhythm." As these K-pop artists are from Thailand and Taiwan, "they will represent international K-pop idols, in line with the global reach of this show, which will include international contestants," according to the press release.

Jay Park will be the sole MC. He hosted the music show “The Seasons” last year.
"Artists making significant strides in the K-pop scene have come together with the shared goal of creating a global boy group," said F&F Entertainment. "They will help contestants realize their potential and showcase their abilities in this survival competition."
The show will premiere on Nov. 22.
