Price peak: Gas breaks $1.30 for first time since 2023

Domestic gas prices exceeded 1,800 won ($1.30) per liter (0.26 gallons) for the first time in the year and two months since Nov. 6, 2023, according to Opinet, the Korea National Oil Corporation’s price tracking system. Oil prices are expected to continue rising due to high inflation.
