4 Mil. Tourists Will Visit Korea 1998
The number of foreigners visiting Korea this year is expected to exceed four milion.According to the Korea National Tourism Organization(KNTO) on December 4, the number of foreign tourists who came to Korea as of the end of November was 3,885,000.
KTNA said, 'If the current trend continues, on December 9 the number of foreign tourists will break the 4 million mark.'
Last year 3,910,000 foreigners visited Korea.
KNTO is now preparing to welcome the 4 millionth tourist, estimated to be aboard KE706 which will land at Kimpo Int'l Airport at 12:00 on December 9.
The lucky individual will find that many gifts including airplane tickets and a commemorative plaque are waiting for him or her.
