First-Class Hotels Raise Room Charge
Most of the top-level hotels raised the price of their rooms this month. They had already raised prices 5-10 percent early last year, and this time a 5-9 percent increase has been imposed.Lotte and Radison Plaza Hotel increased room prices 9 percent each, from 230,000 to 250,000 won per night. The price of a standard room at the Hilton Hotel was 8 percent higher at 260,000 won and Hotel Shilla now charges 245,000 won, a 7 percent rise.
Grand Hyatt, Swiss Grand and Westin Chosun Hotel asserted that they did not plan to raise their room fees this year.
