KTA to Set Up Web Site to Promote Korean Exports

The Korea Trade Association(KTA) announced on February 20 that it will set up a web site to promote quality, viable Korean products for export. The measure is to increase Korean exports in 1999, the KTA explained.
To implement the plan, the KTA will initially introduce goods from 500 established small and medium-sized companies through its web site tentatively called 'Korea Best Product'. It will hold a seminar to mobilize member companies.
KTA will also assist more than 5,000 exporting companies in setting up their own home pages on the Internet this year.
In addition the KTA will provide 30 billion won in loans for up to 800 small and medium-sized exporting companies at favorable interest rates of just four percent per year.
