Cohen to Visit Korea March 17William Cohen, the American secretary of defense will visit for two days Korea on March 17.
While here, Cohen will confer with his Korean counterpart, the chief of National Defense Jo Sung-tae, focusing on pressing issues such as the state of affairs in North Korea and the alleged shootings of Korean civilians during the Korean War by American forces in Nogun-ri.
He will also make a courtesy call on President Kim Dae-jung, Lee Jung-bin minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Yim Dong-won the chief of the National Intelligence Service. Cohen will then complete his visit here with a final stop with U.S. armed forces posted here on the peninsula.
