President Kim Brings Up Subject of Migrant Workers"It is a very shameful and serious problem that a country which promotes human rights also discriminates against workers from other countries," said President Kim to a convening of the Millennium Democratic Party (MDP). After making this statement, Kim called for measures to protect the interests of migrant workers.
As President Kim listened to MDP reports concerning these and other issues, Chong Wa Dae spokesman Park Joon-young further commented that the president regretted that migrant workers should bear "anti-Korean feelings" because tey are often looked down upon, and reiterated Kim's desire that this situation change quickly.
