President Returning Home on Thursday
Fresh from receiving his Nobel Peace Prize, President Kim Dae-jung returns home Thursday, where the politically sensitive overhaul of his party and administration awaits him.On arrival in Seoul Mr. Kim is expected to address the public on the results of his seven-day trip to Norway and Sweden.
The president is also likely to touch on the direction of the party and administrative reshuffling, which is widely expected this month.
At a press conference in Stockholm on Wednesday with Prime Minister Goran Persson of Sweden, the two said that "there is a high possibility that a bilateral meeting between North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and the Swedish prime minister may materialize, which would be beneficial to Korean peace."
