A few months ago I purchased an air purifier from a door-to-door salesman. The payment was processed by a credit card on an installment plan.
However, after using the purifier, I found that the product did not meet my expectations, having a lot of defects and a poor quality. I immediately phoned the company that manufactured the item and an official there informed me of their return policy. As they instructed, I returned the product and canceled the purchasing contract.
But the company refused to cancel the credit purchase after receiving their air purifier.
It has already been three months since I returned the product and I have made payments for the purifier for that period of time. I constantly telephone the customer service center, but they say that it is a matter for the company’s headquarters, and nothing happens.
It’s unreasonable that a consumer cannot get a refund after returning a defective product.
