[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Men victims of social bias
Recently, four government ministries, including the Ministry of Gender Equality, formed a task force to study ending the patriarchic family registry system. As a male university student, I both support and question this effort.Since 1999, employment quotas have been set for women, a ministry devoted to women’s affairs has been created and a maternity protection act passed. I personally think men are victims of reverse bias. They spend two years in the military and then have to compete with women who spent those two years developing their abilities.
