MP3 maker’s new language product

IOPS CO., a local digital music player maker, released a new product that reads text files in four languages. Users of the “IOPS F4” can download text files in Korean, English, Chinese or Japanese and listen to those files read by an electronic voice. “This technology was developed a long time ago but it was mostly used in equipment for the visually impaired. We thought it would be a helpful function for Koreans who are always so diligent in their language studies,” said IOPS marketing official Lee Min-ki. “This is the first time this function was incorporated into an MP3 player,” he added. The MP3 player also has surround sound system functions and supports lyrics for both MP3 and OGG files. The slim music player has an aluminum coating and comes in three different file capacities ― 256 megabytes, 512 megabytes and 1 gigabyte.
