KTF unveils new slim phoneKTF Technologies Inc., the cell phone-manufacturing subsidiary of KTF Co., announced yesterday it will introduce what it claims is the world’s slimmest mobile handset. The company said its new phone is just 7.9 millimeters, or about one-third of an inch, thick, and will go on sale sometime this month. The phone is fitted with an MP3 player, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and an electronic dictionary containing more than 330,000 English words. A spokesman with KTF Technologies said the key to the new phone’s design was simplicity. KTF Technologies is Korea’s fifth-largest cell phone producer with 810,000 units produced under the brand name Ever last year.
