Angry afternoon for 2PM fans

Fans of the boy band 2PM reacted strongly to a cable network's attempt to broadcast footage of the band's former member Park Jaebeom.

An entertainment news show called E News on cable channel tVN was planning to show video of park in his hometown, Seattle, Washington, later tonight. A preview of was shown on Tuesday night, and fans who saw the clip left requests on tVN's Web site asking it not to broadcast the footage.

"Jaebeom is no longer an entertainer. He should be left alone," wrote one fan.
The lead singer of the popular boy band left the group and has been living in Seattle since public attention was drawn earlier this year to negative remarks about Korea he left on his MySpace page a few years ago.

A crew from tVN interviewed park's neighbor and filmed the former singer working a part-time job at a car repair shop in Seattle.

tvN은 25일 밤, 연예보도 프로그램 'E News'에서 재범의 시애틀 생활을 추적한 영상들을 공개할 예정이다.
그런데 지난 24일부터 이 방송 예고편이 전파를 타자 tvN 홈페이지 게시판에는 재범 관련 영상을 방송하지 말아 달라는 2PM 팬들의 요구가 빗발치고 있다.

예고편에는 tvN 제작진이 미국 시애틀에 직접 방문해 재범의 이웃 주민으로부터 '재범이 타이어 교체 아르바이트를 하고 있다'는 정보를 얻는 후, 관련 정비소를 찾아가는 모습 등이 담겨 있다.

이에 2PM 팬들은 tvN 홈페이지 게시판을 통해 “재범은 이제 연예인도 아닌데 사생활 비밀과 자유를 지켜달라”, “평범하게 생활하고 있는 당사자를 찾아가 괴롭히지 말라” 등의 의견을 내고 있는 상황이다.
