Actor Jung Chan to wed in January.Actor Jung Chan’s agency said on Dec. 26 that the 40-year-old actor will tie the knot on Jan. 8 at a wedding hall in Gangnam, southern Seoul.
The ceremony will take place at noon and the bride-to-be is described by the agency to be in her 30s and to be a working professional employed at a computer game company.
“The couple met through a mutual friend and due to the Jung’s fiancé being a noncelebrity, the wedding will be a quiet and private affair,” the agency said. The couple has been dating since the end of last year.
The wedding is a first for Jung and an event that the entertainer has devoted a lot of time and effort into. “Most of the preparations were made by the actor,” said a representative from his agency. The wedding ceremony will be attended by family and close friends of the couple only.
Jung is known for his debut role in the drama “Papa” in 1995 starring the Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon. Since then, Jung has played a diverse range of roles in hit dramas such as “Personal Taste,” “You’re Beautiful” and “Mate.”
Currently the star is also the host of the show “Brain Big Bang” on the EBS network.
